Official Logo Selected for “The Year of Information Governance Achievement”

IGSLogoGeneva, Switzerland (eDiscoveryTimes) January 7, 2013 – RSD, the leading provider of information governance solutions for the enterprise and the Official Sponsor of Information Governance, is proud to announce the winners of the global competition that called for the creation of “The Year of Information Governance Achievement” official logo. “We are extremely confident 2014 will be the year that corporations will strive to achieve information governance success,” said Tamir Sigal, Vice President of Marketing at RSD, “and this logo embodies the challenges and achievements that organizations are dealing with as they bring explosive growth in information under control and governance.”

In 2008, RSD embarked on an information governance journey with the sole vision of enabling companies to better govern corporate information. Since then, RSD has been a significant contributor in educating people regarding the importance of an information governance program, explaining how the traditional approach of records management simply isn’t working, and developing a purpose-built information governance platform called RSD GLASS.

The contest challenged the industry to design a logo that encapsulates the achievement of information governance in 2014. The contest was open to any talented designer to submit an entry and be eligible to win a nice prize, receive exposure, and help RSD come up with the best logo for the industry to be used to express achievement in information governance in 2014. RSD plans to use the winning logo in a number of materials and encourage others to use it as well.

RSD is pleased to congratulate Jackie F. for submitting the winning logo, Mihalj B. for honorable mention (2nd place), and wishes to express gratitude to everyone who made a submission to support the contest. In picking the winning entry, the panel of experts said: “The selected design perfectly reflects the spirit and objectives of the Year of Information Governance Achievement. This logo enables easy interpretation by the very compact nature of the acronym, “IGA”, and provides strong visual connection with global community. Furthermore, the logo lends itself well to being adapted to various media and communication applications.”
