Where is Stonebranch Workload Automation Now?

stonebranch-logo-newBack in 2012 Gartner  named Stonebranch, one of the industries leading Workload Automation Specialists as a Visionary in their Magic Quadrant for Workload Automation, 2012.  It is well known that vendors in the Visionary quadrant are innovators that excel with highly differentiated solutions, introducing a radical new approach to the market.

In 2014, Gartner named Stonebranch as representative vendor in its”Market Guide for Workload Automation” by Milind Govekar, Yurika Nagashima, September 25, 2014.  According to Gartner, Stonebranch’s solution is “built on a modern and easy-to-integrate architecture” and “has the ability to integrate with and monitor jobs in its competitors’ workload automation tools”.  Given the fact that most of the tools in this market space were built 10-20 years ago, this is high praise from Gartner and should have peaked the interest of potential buyers.

Since its acquisition of Opswise Software in early 2011, Stonebranch has fully integrated its core products into a single, unified set of solutions. Stonebranch differentiates itself in the industry with a highly portable, web-based solution with unmatched ease of use. Customers praise it’s quick deployment capabilities, diversity of integration possibilities, and its ability to enable easy management of mission-critical IT workload for IT Operations, as well as application development staff and business users.

Early this year, I had the opportunity to begin a very detailed investigation into the current status of Stonebranch, how its clients are using its platform and how prospects view Stonebranch.  I came to some interesting conclusions.  If you are wondering “where Stonebranch is today”, you might be very surprised and probably come to the conclusion that Gartner knew what they were talking about back in 2012 and 2014. Stonebrach is definitely a Workload Automation platform that should be on everyone’s shortlist.
